I honestly didn't mean to buy the Kindle version of "Alias." I was 100% set on waiting for the audio to come out, because I love the British narration. Well, I made the mistake of reading the first couple of chapters on Amazon and I couldn't help but purchase right away. Then, I really tried taking my time to finish it, but that proved impossible as well.There's a reason Cari Hunter is my all-time favorite author (any time someone asks, she's at the very top of my top 10 list). The book pulls you in right away. There's never a dull moment, and you really fall in love with the characters. And there's a certain "feeling" you get. A feeling that puts you right into the book alongside the characters and makes you feel a bit empty when it ends. Hunter makes her characters feel like close friends.All in all, I have to say that reading on my Kindle was a positive experience and will probably improve my audio experience when the audible version is ready (and yes, I'll be re-reading it on audio right away, as soon as it's available later this month). Hunter uses a lot of very non-American words and having the book on Kindle allowed me to look them up.Like Cari Hunter's other books, this will be one I'll undoubtedly re-read multiple times, if only for that certain "feeling."

Cari Hunter never disappoints and may very well be my favorite author. I have grown to love Cari's writing, and have always found her books to be exciting, and even frightening at times. Alias was no exception. I liked the fact that she drifted a little farther west this time, leaving the Peaks and delving into the Welch highlands. Having been there quite a few times, once to climb Snowdon (what was I thinking), I felt at home in her descriptions of the place. Manchester, with all its seedy neighborhoods, and the frightening mess that DC Alis Clarke finds herself in, sets the tone for a twisted tale of illicit drugs, murder and police corruption. DS 'Bron' Pryce is a hard one to make, although I never would have suspected what eventually happened, until it did.The story never lets up until the very end, as in all of Cari's books, and was a nail biter; extremely hard to put down. I know that Cari has announced her upcoming book, so I can rest easy knowing that another fabulous creation is in the works. I definitely recommend Alias, but as with all Cari's books, be prepared for the blunt delivery and unpolished realities she depicts so vividly in her writing.Awesome book, great read!

I really thought I would love this story. It started entriguing and very promising, but it turned very slow and frustrating. The uncovering of the facts were the most frustrating. The story picked up about 80% into the book and unwinds very quickly. There was little romance between the main characters. The love making happened late in the book & was sudden & very physical. At least the characters were very real & the action parts were realistis. There was no unbelievable heroic behavour from the main characters. They showed fear, pain and uncertainty, but found strength in each other.

The book intrigued me, but I soon discovered the language was very difficult for me to follow. I have read many books by English authors and had no problems. This book is very localized, I had to google every other word to understand what I was reading. The story drags on, the romance is minimal, bottom line, I did not enjoy this book at all.

Hunter's series deserves far more stars than it's getting. I feel that too much lesfic offers too much fluff - cotton candy instead of an banquet or a feast. This series is one of the few that I will pay money for - along with Andrea Bramhall's Norfolk series - and take the time to comment on. Rumor has it this series may be at its end. Too bad, we could use more like it.

I just finished reading this great novel. If you like a good thriller/mystery with a touch of romance on the side, you will enjoy this novel. Personally I liked that the romance was secondary and the plot was focused on the mystery the main characters were working on. 📕📙📘📗📓

I discovered this author recently and will read her stories as quickly as I can. They are great stories and will leave you wanting more. I am hoping she will do more with these two main ladies because the chemistry is excellent....and the humor kept me laughing and in my toes. Enjoy!!

I loved this book, and, no I'm not a 70 year old "cat lady". Actually, I'm a middle aged guy that got tired of trying to figure what my daughter's cat was whining about. Long story short, my new fuzzy pal and I now exchange nose bumps, trills and toy fun. As bizarre as it seems, we seem to communicate, and it's fun.

When I selected 'purchase' I knew the short story would not be part of Radclyffe's, Honor's Series or even one of her First Responder's novels. I knew this story would be short, sweet, and to the point. And it was. This was a very good book to read and I just got done reading it. The book is only two hundred and eight pages. I wish it was longer and there was a series of books. The main person in the book is Marie-Claire and its set in the 1940's. Marie-Claire ends up getting TB and going to the hospital. While there she as grate loss and also makes a life for herslef. I found myslef wonding if the story was true but its not.

I want to know what happens next that is a five star rating. I want a sappy, happy ending in my reads and that's a five star rating. Those wanting to read for the good outcomes in a story then go for it.

Beautifully written. Painfully tender. Heartbreaking . Wow. Short and sweet. That says it all. Blink and you'll miss it. Just as stolen kisses often are.

Great short story , now if they would just come back and finish it . I love these authors I continue to find their storytelling to be captivating .

A very quick read, wanted it to continue, way too short of a read.

The audio book is fabulous. The narrator is soooooo good!

What an incredible set of books. I had to take frequent breaks from reading because of the disturbing details. I love Ryan Green's books. He brings these stories to light and makes you feel like you are looking over the shoulder of these heinous murderers. If you want to read about true crimes that have taken place in the USA, the UK and Australia, this is a set of books that you must read.

Ryan Green is one of my favorite authors. His descriptive narrative of the life and times of the killers makes you almost feel as though you were there. He doesn't sugarcoat their deeds. He doesn't make them seem to be anything but what they are - killers. But, he does almost make you feel sorry for them - but just almost.

I truly love the style of Ryan Green's writing, It is very informative, detailed yet extremely entertaining. The stories are true but are told in such a way that they are made unbelievable to the human mind. Very spellbinding and thrilling! I highly recommend Ryan Green's true crime books!

This was an interesting and informative set of books. I like that the books are are not full of annoying errors. The stories are more graphic than I have been used to reading. I am pleased to have found this author.

I read each of these books when they first came out. Like, the minute they dropped. Ryan Green is brilliant. He has researched his work extremely well and presents it in a highly fascinating, albeit disturbing, way. But then, what about true crime isn't disturbing? Ryan has a way of putting you in the head of the killer while at the same time in the hearts of the victims and their loved ones. It's like reading the story from the inside out. The killers he writes about are brutal, and he spares no detail. I like to think I am a true crime aficionado, and Ryan's books are some of the very best I have read. If you like true crime, you'll love Ryan Green's books.

Ryan Green is one of my favorite true crime authors. His writing style is very unique, and he really makes you feel like you are part of the story. He does a terrific job of putting you in the middle of each of these stories while sticking to the facts. If you are a fan of true crime stories, or just excellent writing, make sure you pick this collection up! You'll not be able to put it back down!

I found the books to be utterly disturbing. It's horrifying to me that this author can narrate the unknown stories of the murderers and their victims. I might find the narrative less sensationalized if there were an indication of research. Too perverse for my tastes

I've read each of these titles as they came out and highly recommend them all. Starting with his first collection, which was very much a reporting style to these books which come from the view of the protagonist is very well written and suck you in almost immediately. While you may sympathize at times with the person, their actions will disturb you.

Wow - what. a. ride!!! Magnus's mother must be the queen of bad-bitch mothers-in-law of ALL TIME! Magnus stays true, and strong, and I love realizing that HIS sense of responsibility has gently led his wife, Kaitlyn, into a more responsible adulthood. She becomes as brave as he is, and their partnership is unique. No, it isn't Outlander. It's very different - each is from a very different time, and there is a power interrupting their lives that goes far beyond Gabaldon's books. This does, perhaps. have a bit more fantasy or magic about it. BUT - I love that I can look up specific places mentioned on Google, AND SEE THEM! It's more modern. It's fascinating to imagine a man from 1702 Scotland suddenly showing up on a Florida beach in the 21st century. And, while I'm no longer in my 20s, or even my 30s, it does seem to me that their dialogue is appropriate and believable. Descriptions are complete enough to let me see what is happening. And, Ms. Knightley has, overall, done a pretty fine job of proofreading/editing. This is a series I will keep reading, that I am willing to buy, and keep in my permanent collection! (And I still like the first book best....!)

Aaaaaaaaaaa!!! I need book 4 to be out now! I have enjoyed seeing Kaitlyn mature through the books. She and Magnus are both vulnerable characters with flaws. It is good to not have perfection in characters. It makes them more real and relatable.The poignant parts were well written (well, all of it was well written, but I felt these parts were particularly so). I'm concerned about what is going to happen in the next book. I definitely finished and wanted to know WHAT NOW?!?Thank you, Ms. Knightley, for writing these books that are similar and yet so different from Outlander. I hope people don't see your books as trying to imitate Outlander. That's not what they are.

I love time travel romances, especially those involving Scotland. Knightly has had me captured with her fascinating love story/time travel romance between a millennial and a 300+ year-old Scottish highlander. You can see the heroine Kaitlyn growing by leaps and bounds on each page, right out of millennial status to that of mature woman. And Magnus is a truly modern man in 18th century clothing. Knightly's interesting plot lines and imagination shine through her books.

Sleep deprived but oh so worth it. This is one crazy journey. Kaitlyn and Magnus are falling deeper in love and his crazy quest. His mother is a real piece of work. This book has funny moments, tender and sad moments. There are lots of drama and battles they must go through together. I'm so upset with myself for reading this so fast. Now I have no idea how long I have to wait for the next book.

Diana.... You can't possibly leave me hanging here . I have truly come to love all these people . They are not just characters to me . I have already pre-existing the next book ,so please bring back HE A !

This is the third book in the series and you won't be able to put it down! The story follows Kaitlyn, a 23 year old from Florida, who is married to Magnus, a time traveling Scot from 1702. It literally keeps you on the edge of your seat, dying to know what comes next! Book 4 comes out in October and after reading all three books in just under two days, I'm not sure how I'll get by until then!! These books are playful, yet steasmy and you'll fidnd yoursefl forming a real connection with the characters!!

You will Not be disappointed in this book! Book 3 of a great series, it’s so hard to put it down! The characters, the plot, the dialogue is all really well developed. It’s sexy, romantic, funny, suspenseful.. What woman wouldn’t go crazy for a gorgeous highlander from 3 centuries ago?! When being galant and protective was held in high regards 💞

This is a great book. I love the way she writes about the time travel and romance. I can't wait to see what happens next in book 4!

I've only had this book for 3 days and read the first two chapters, but it is a godawful tedious mess.The author speaks in first person and talks a lot about his personal life, which is odd enough. Like other reviewers have noted, he drones on and on with endless lists and takes pages upon pages to explain concepts that you could summarize in a few paragraphs, which not only is boring but makes the concepts so much more difficult to understand. It makes it difficult to follow the points of the text, and by the time I get to the end of a section I can honestly say I have to go back and re-read some sections to figure out what the heck the message was.The actual information, when you can pick it out, is very useful - the author just makes it extremely and unnecessarily difficult to get out of the text. Just pay attention to the figures and read the summaries at the end of the chapters, and use the glossary in the back to find anything specific you need for your assignments if you are using this for a college or graduate level class. That's my best advice to make good use of this 500+ page book.

Either my teacher made this book confusing, or this book made my life more confusing. Either way, this book did not add much clarity to the learning objectives regarding the content in it, and my life was hell during that whole term in part because of it. So I may just hate the book because I hated everything I had to use it for. I don't know, I am a very biased person.

This is an excellent resource for strategic planning - practical, how-to, with the addition of background, examples, and useful graphics that illustrate and/or augment the text. A strength of this book versus Allison and Kaye's (another book I really like!) is Part 3 where Bryson discusses the importance of leadership and the role leadership plays in the overall strategic planning effort. Seriously agonizing to read. Made it to page 15 before I had to put it down. I don't want to read about how strategic planning is a benefit because it improves your decision making for pages and pages. Of course it does, because when you prepare things tend to go more smoothly! It's common sense.

There have to be better tests out there. This was painfully dry to read. Perhaps the information was good, but if good information cannot be gleaned through the reading difficulties it is overall useless. I was very disappointed.

Mostly upset that the digital version does not really include a real table of contents, nor does it use page numbers like a normal book but rather uses a more generic "location" function.This makes it difficult to, for example, read Chapter 4. Where does it start? Where does it end? You have to click through the "locations" find out.Dumb.

This was one of the required textbooks while I was taking MPA program with CSUN (A strategic planning class). This book is money as it will provide you with how an organization 'should' be executing internal practices that'll eventually translate into success. Even if your not working on a MPA degree or not a public sector employee, I highly recommend this book!

Some good information in this book but it’s difficult to stay focused with the meandering nature of it.
